Brasília – Formal job creation ran a surplus in June with 48,436 jobs. According to data from the General of Employed and Unemployed Persons (CAGED) as of this Thursday (25), this is the highest level for the month since 2013.
The indicator tracks the number of workers itted and dismissed in the country. Brazil saw 1,248,106 workers itted over 1,199,670 dismissed in June.
Year-to-date through June, over 408,500 posts were created (8,211,237 workers itted and 7,812,737 dismissed), the highest surplus for the month since 2014, when 588,671 jobs were created.
