São Paulo – The arrival of Brazilians in Morocco, an Arab country in North Africa, increased by 48% from January to April this year compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) sent to ANBA by the agency’s office in Brazil. In April alone, Brazilian tourism in Morocco also saw a 41% increase.
In the first four months of 2025, a total of 16,909 Brazilians landed in the Arab country, compared to 11,402 in the same months of 2024. In April alone, 4,870 people of Brazilian origin arrived in Morocco, against 3,465 in the fourth month of last year.
The growth rates from Brazil sured the country’s overall tourism performance, indicating a significant advance. From January to April, Morocco saw a 23% increase in foreign visitors, reaching 5.6 million people, and in April alone, the growth was 27%, totaling 1.6 million.
Brazil still represents a small share of tourism in Morocco, with fewer than 17,000 Brazilians among more than 5 million visitors to the country. However, Morocco has been working to increase that number. Among the initiatives, the ONMT (Moroccan National Tourist Office) opened an office in São Paulo in May 2024, and in December of the same year, the country’s airline, Royal Air Maroc, resumed its direct flight to Brazil.
