São Paulo – Qatar Airways confirmed that it will start three additional weekly flights between Doha, the capital of Qatar, and Guarulhos Airport in São Paulo, Brazil, on June 25. The initial plan was for this increase to begin on July 2.
According to information from the airline, flight QR785 will depart from Doha at 12:10 AM and land at 9:00 AM in Guarulhos. On the return, flight QR786 will depart São Paulo at 10:30 AM and arrive in Doha at 6:45 PM, all times local. These new flights will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. In addition, there are already two daily flights operated by the airline between the two cities. In total, there will be 17 weekly flights between Doha and São Paulo.
In the announcement about the increased frequency, Qatar Airways says it is expanding its presence in the Americas, as it will also operate more flights to Toronto, Canada, starting in June. “São Paulo is a key gateway and a strategic hub for business and leisure travel.” The airline also mentions that engers will continue to enjoy Qatar Airways’ connections to 55 destinations in Latin America through its partnership with Latam Airlines.
When announcing the increase in flights to São Paulo, a route it has operated since 2010, the airline said the route would be operated by the Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, with a capacity of 42 seats in business class and 230 in economy.
