Authorities from the United Arab Emirates are currently in Brazil for appointments ahead of the BRICS Summit as well as meetings with local officials and institutions. They said the country is a key trading and investment partner.

Brazil’s president officially launched the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty this Monday (18) during the G20 Summit. Arab signatory nations include Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE, Jordan, Lebanon, Mauritania, Palestine, Somalia, Sudan, and Tunisia.

Saudi Arabia’s minister of Finance, Mohammed Al-Jadaan, praised Brazil’s agenda execution. He has ed the G20 Summit in Rio alongside the Saudi foreign minister Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, who is attending the event on behalf of crown prince and prime minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The group of major world economies is having a week of activities in Rio de Janeiro from Monday (22) through Friday (26). High-level meetings on finance and development will be held, along with the pre-launch of the Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty.

Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro participated in WTM Latin America with a stand to promote beach and mountain destinations as well as historical and cultural tours. After getting domestic visitors back, it now aims to boost international arrivals.
