Coordinated by Safa Jubran, a group of professionals translating between Arabic and Brazilian Portuguese has become a platform for collectively addressing the challenges of the profession and has been contributing to the expansion of Arabic literature’s presence in Brazil.

This Monday (1st), Muslim and non-Muslim women are posting pictures of them wearing the veil on social media to hijab wearers. This is the World Hijab Day, which is promoted in Brazil by a group of the University of São Paulo.

Doctor of letters from São Paulo, Felipe Benjamin found in the dialect of South Morocco an entirely unexplored field in the studies of Arabic in Brazil. Since 2010, when he first went to the country, he has studied the characteristics of this dialect that is stigmatized even among Arabic speakers.
